If you thought all of this juicing and vegan business was just a fad, think again: DNAinfo brings word of a luxury building, the Madison Jackson, opening in a former public school on the lower Lower East Side whose planned amenities are designed to support a vegetarian or vegan organic lifestyle. Tenants will have access to 24-hour organic vegetarian room service, an on-site juice bar, organic dry-cleaning — and those who join the posh-sounding Madison Jackson Club can opt for Jivamukti yoga classes and nutritional counseling. Developer Michael Bolla told DNA he has a list of 300 prospective buyers, which we hope includes famous vegans Russell Simmons, Alicia Silverstone, and Mayim Bialik, since wouldn’t it be awesome if they all wound up living together in a glorious, meat-free, rich-people utopia?
