Exciting news is brewing for high-end local catering company L.A. Spice, as the nearly 25-year-old outfit is planning its first fast-casual restaurant concept in Culver City, called LA Spice Cafe. The space is currently under construction across from Abbot’s Pizza on Sepulveda, where the business plans to move its catering operations in the offices upstairs, while turning the lower levels into a dining concept with a selection of fresh fruit scones and pastries, along with beer and wine, plus menus crafted with help from a still-unnamed chef.

A Spice staffer tells Grub Street that the project’s debut is still “a couple of months away,” as backed up by the above photo, while we await further details from owner Le Ann Schwartz as to what, and who, will be cooking here.
