Shooting Occurs Outside Double Dutch in the Mission

A “savage beating” occurred just outside of Double Dutch (3192 16th Street) at around 11:30 p.m. Friday night, and a 24-year-old man was subsequently shot. The man remains in life-threatening condition, and witnesses describe a gruesome scene in which the victim was lying face down in a pool of blood just off the curb as a friend lay on top of him crying. Police are still seeking tips from witnesses who may have seen a suspect or suspects on 16th Street that night.
