Humble Kings County is getting glitzed up Manhattan style: There’s the sixth-floor bar, the Ides, at the Wythe Hotel, with its Gansevoort-ish feel and sweeping skyline views, and the rooftop bar at Hotel Williamsburg King & Grove is reportedly opening soon. Now Brooklyn Paper has it that the historic Bossert Hotel building in Brooklyn Heights (currently owned by the Jehovah’s Witnesses) will become a hotel once again if the developer has his way. The community board has already granted approval for a plan that includes a restaurant and rooftop bar. Seems everyone’s finally catching on that city views are better from across the river.
