Boxing Room Menu Gets Simpler, More New Orleans-y

One year in, and chef Justin Simoneaux says some changes are on the way to the menu at New Orleans-centric Boxing Room. He tells Hayeswire that he’s been pleasantly surprised that “people wanted the real deal,” and some of the more California-ized items will be coming off the regular menu and become occasional specials instead. “From now on, our day-to-day will be 100% Louisiana classics … food like gumbo, jambalaya and po’ boys.” See the simplified dinner menu here, and take note that they’re still not talking about getting a liquor license, and sending people down the block to sister restaurant Absinthe if they want a cocktail.
