Wonderland, a Chinese Restaurant, Coming to the Lower Haight

The Clay Oven space at 500 Haight Street (at Fillmore) appears to be getting a new tenant soon: Wonderland, which is presumed by Haighteration to be a Chinese restaurant. It’s a fair presumption given that the owner is Ningzhe Wen, who is the current or recent owner of Wild Pepper in the Mission, and this would become the Lower Haight’s only Chinese place. The space, formerly Raja Indian Cuisine, was taken over by the Clay Oven chain in 2010, only to be left virtually unoccupied during the last year. No word as of yet when Wonderland may open.
