Ask Madonna what’s in vogue with her eating habits these days, and she’ll tell you it’s all about the good bacteria, i.e. “fermented soy beans, millet and brown rice.” The trend, a form of “inner horticulture,” involves the cultivation of intestinal flora, and eating foods rich in fiber and so-called good bacteria, including Activia yogurts and quinoa.
