Yesterday we mentioned the scathing Boston magazine article that came out back in 2008, in which Ken Oringer (among others) criticized O Ya’s Tim Cushman, who won big at the James Beard awards earlier this week. Oringer got in touch to tell us that all’s fine and dandy now, though.
Oringer e-mailed us yesterday: ” I just wanted to clarify that the Boston mag article on Tim Cushman was 4 yrs ago. And on a side note, I actually petitioned to have him added to the north east ballot for the beard awards a couple of years back. I am so happy for Boston to have the award, and am keeping my fingers crossed for Jamie [Bissonnette, another finalist] for next year.”
So, no sushi showdowns in the near future. And as for Bissonnette’s future, well, we still want him to open a version of Little Serow.
