Surely there’s a blizzard blanketing hell right now with snow and ice, because there’s word this morning that the long overdue Chinatown cocktail lair Hop Sing Laundromat is finally — after more than a year in the works — going to open tonight. Eater Philly reports that the always mysterious man behind what is undoubtedly the most hyped venture since Stephen Starr brought Morimoto to town back in 2001 confirmed that he will indeed open the bar to the public for the first time tonight. And if you can’t squeeze your way in there for its big debut tonight, it will again be shaking and stirring its potent and most palatable potions tomorrow. After that it will be in a soft-launch mode throughout June, and eventually open six nights a week after that. [Eater]
