Though nothing could replace the giant Medieval turkey legs of Main Street, U.S.A. in our hearts, Disneyland is going to give it a go with the help of Patina. On June 7, Joachim Splichal’s unit will reopen Downtown Disney’s Uva Bar and Cafe, overhauling it with a new menu of Spanish-influenced dishes and an expanded sidewalk spread of 70 seats and yellow umbrellas fanned out around a bar, all meant to evoke Barcelona (by way of Walt, of course).

Nick Weber’s new menu includes “street” fries with chorizo Bilbao and melted cheese, lamb burgers a la plancha with piquillo peppers, and market fish specials, along with a few Uva keepsakes like tuna tartare tacos. Drinks will center on SoCal craft beer, probably parents’ best pre-game plan for finding peace on Space Mountain sans psilocybin. Anyway, Weber’s menu already sounds more interesting than Disneyland’s $25,000 members-only supper club.
