Looks like beer, wine and cocktails are going to give Night Market’s cupcake contingency a run for its money tonight when the roving street bazaar of food trucks, restaurants and local purveyors of all things edible takes over the stretch of North Second Street in NoLibs from Fairmount Avenue all the way North to Wildey Street. In addition to the more than 40 vendors, who will be pedaling everything from wood-fired pizzas, burgers and barbecue to ice cream and popsicles, the Food Trust will have three tents set up where the good folks from Yards Brewing Co. will pulling tap handles to ply the thirsty masses with their tasty and refreshing ales.

Beer’s not your thing? No problem. Along with those beer tents, tonight’s street fest will also have at least six other drinking options from NoLibs restaurants El Camino Real, Bar Ferdinand, Cantina Dos Segundos, North Bowl and Standard Tap. Local vintners Penns Woods Winery will also be on hand pouring some of the selections it makes with Pennsylvania-grown grapes.

Night Market’s next installment will be on Thursday, June 28, when it will roll up on South Philly’s Italian Market. We’ll keep you posted on that as details become available.
