This Friday, May 11, Farmshop chef-owner Jeff Cerciello is inviting one of his NorCal pals to come and hang at his Brentwood restaurant. Sam Mogannam, the founder of San Francisco’s “farm-to-checkout” pioneer Bi-Rite Market, as well as Bi-Rite Creamery, Bi-Rite Farms, and 18 Reasons, will sign copies of his new book, Eat Good Food. To honor the occasion, Cerciello will prepare a four-course, family-style meal inspired by the recipes Mogannam collects in the new tome, the same ones he used to convert his family’s market into a cutting-edge dining destination.
Highlights of Friday’s menu include a sumac-wrapped chicken and mezze representing the spring season like hummus made from English peas and dried favas with goat’s milk and lavash. See the full menu below and make reservations for Farmshop’s feast, with seatings available between 5:30 to 9:30 P.M., at 310-566-2400.
