Jake Godsby, the Humphry Slocombe ice cream maker, is returning for a second installment of his whimsical savory pop-up Truck Stop Café this evening at Truck (15th and Folsom). We previously raved about the duck-fat Chex mix, and now Godsby’s got a revised menu to share including chicken liver toasts with blood-orange jelly; grilled cheese with brisket and tomato jam; and sticky hominy fritters with “Hidden Valley” yogurt. The fun goes from 6 to 10 p.m., and there’ll be plenty of cocktails and beer available too. Also, an added bonus: Truck is a gay bar, and later in the evening will be hosting a rock-and-roll underwear party called Bubba. As Godby says, “Who doesn’t want to take their pants off after eating?”
