How ‘bout some day-old oysters?

Call it the case of the kidnapped Kusshis: A thief yesterday snatched more than 90 pounds of oysters off the back of a truck, leaving some restaurants — hot spots Ela and Morimoto among them — short on the shuckables. Philly Gossip reports the crime went down while West Chester’s SeaFresh Oysters owner Paul Appleby was making deliveries to “King of Restaurants” Stephen Starr’s Dandelion and Parc. When Appleby pulled up at Morimoto, he discovered that two boxes of the precious Pacific oysters had been plucked from the back of his truck. The boxes contained upwards of 1,000 oysters. The perp is clearly the stupidest crook on the grift. How exactly does one fence day-old and presumably unrefrigerated oysters? [Philly Gossip]
