Good news, lounge lizards. The Revere Hotel Boston Common launches tonight with a bang. To mark the occasion, climbers from Boston Rock Gym will walk straight down the side of its 24-story façade while modeling Ted Baker’s spring line. On second thought, hopefully the evening won’t end with a bang.
Also soon to come: their lounge, the Emerald, with Teodora Bakardzhieva, the first woman to ever work behind the bar at man cave Locke-Ober, as beverage director. Signature drinks include a Ten Thyme Smash with Tanqueray 10 gin, lime juice, white cranberry juice, simple syrup, sliced cukes, and thyme sprigs, and something called a Rye Nut? made with Bulliet rye, antique vermouth, pineapple syrup, and walnut bitters.
The launch happens today because, of course, it’s the anniversary of Paul Revere’s midnight ride, during which we’re fairly sure he had a bit of rye to fortify himself.
