Phoenix and Stuff critic (and Chowhound eminence) MC Slim JB played an April Fool’s prank on his many Twitter followers yesterday, announcing that he had been named Boston magazine’s new restaurant critic, taking over for Corby Kummer. Slim’s first article? Anthony’s Pier 4 … for vegans. Feisty MC got quite a few fans and colleagues to buy the prank, though the jig seemed to be up when he later announced that he’d also subject himself to a spray-tanning regimen and take over for the Phantom Gourmet.
