Remember the South Street Diner documentary we told you about a few months ago? Well, it’s all set to premiere, complete with cameos from jaded waiters, nighttime denizens, frisky regulars, and owner Sol Sidell who, according to a release, has “hosted everyone from local pimps to international stars.”

Melissa Dowler and Tom Dowler of Long Haul Films shot the documentary in July, spending a full, exceptionally steamy day at the diner. The movie premieres at the Independent Film Festival Boston on Saturday, April 28 at the Somerville Theatre, with a second run at the theater on Monday, April 30. You can almost smell the stripper grease and bacon fat!
