Rolling Stone Imagines Musicians As Cereal Mascots

Jann Wenner’s rock magazine, known to run iconic photos like, say, the final images of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, has rolled out a strange slideshow of musicians superimposed on cereal boxes. Why might they do this? Here’s the explanation: “Inspired by a tweet from Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess, the Kellogg’s marketing machine kicked into high gear, creating the singer his very own custom box of ‘Totes Amazeballs’ breakfast cereal. We wondered what other music stars might lend themselves to a bowl full of crunchy goodness.” Okay then!

And thus: organic Bon-Os featuring Bono, Feist Krispies (with Feist garbed in various elf costumes), Clapton Crunch, the “Chex” Pistols, and even Honey Bunches of Hall and Oates, for the middle-aged breakfaster who can no longer digest Ice-T and Coco Puffs.

They really couldn’t think of something for the Cranberries?
