In case you haven’t noticed, Goldenberg’s Peanut Chews, the iconic Philly sweet that lost a little of its mojo after Peeps makers Just Born purchased the candy company and started mucking around with its time-honored look and its positively addictive chocolaty-chewy-crunchy composition, is rebounding big time with a splashy new re-branding effort that takes it back to its original glory. And with those efforts comes a Peanut Chews app. Well, it’s not really an app, per se; it’s actually a game, dubbed Peanut Chews Red Light Green Light. And while playing it, you, the user, pilot the Peanut Chews microbus around Philly snatching up candy bars and pretzels and building speed to earn points. But watch out for those red lights. They can bring your game to a grinding halt. It’s available for free in the iTunes store, and the groovy ‘70s soundtrack alone is well worth the download.
