Davis Square’s long-anticipated restaurant from the Pizzeria Posto team opens for walk-ins only this evening at 6 p.m. The menu includes tantalizations like octopus and grilled chicken liver tacos. Huzzah!!
We can’t wait to try it out, since the neighborhood has long lacked a good, sit-down Mexican restaurant (Anna’s and Chipotle are great at what they do, but it’s just not the same). We’re also verrrry curious to see how the space has changed since the days of Gargoyles, when blue-haired Jason Santos presided over the kitchen and a steady stream of regulars got rowdy at the bar (not to mention patrons who, ahem, enjoyed themselves a bit too much in the dimly lit dining room).
So, if you visit the Painted Burro in the coming days, be sure to let us know what you think!
