New from the Pizzeria Posto team, the Painted Burro is set to open in Gargoyles’ former space on March 19. Grub Street is told that the menu’s inspiration comes from Baja, Veracruz, the Yucatan, and Oaxaca, with “splashes from South America.” There will also be octopus tacos.
The menu, photos from which have been appearing on Facebook for weeks now, looks pretty tempting. Dishes are the brainchildren of Chef/Owner Joe Cassinelli and Executive Chef Dante Bua, who used to be at Mistral.
