The Out NYC, which opens today, and which management is calling Manhattan’s first gay hotel, is bulging with a lot of interesting amenities, including a wellness center, three courtyards, two outdoor hot tubs, and the already-open XL Nightclub. But don’t forget Kitchin, the hotel’s new restaurant, set to open in May, serving “upscale comfort food” on long communal tables, and preparing premade picnics. Kitchin’s goal is to feel like “the neighborhood cafeteria,” without the lunch-lady arms. [MSNBC]
