Ken Oringer or Barbara Lynch: Who’ll Open a Restaurant First?

Boston has come out with their annual power list, and wedged between the pharmaceutical millionaires and other rich people power-players are Ken Oringer and Barbara Lynch. They ring in at #34, although based on Oringer’s Clio/Uni renovations (not to mention his maverick appearance on Today, during which he poured cava on Natalie Morales) and Lynch’s recent Relais & Chateaux nod for Menton, they really should’ve cracked the top 20. Or, heck, maybe not. After all, neither has opened a new restaurant recently.

B Mag promises that whomever opens a new restaurant first will get the coveted 34th place all to himself (or herself). Who will it be? Our bet is on Oringer. He recently told Eater that he’d love to do Asian street food, or another Toro, or a little bistro, or something. Just so long as he keeps serving ramen.
