Tune into Food Network’s Restaurant Impossible in May to catch Benicia’s Pappas Restaurant’s big makeover, which was filmed in January. As the Tribune reports, several city of Benicia officials and other volunteers helped with the renovations.

According to the restaurant’s website, Michael “Pappa” Anastasios has owned and operated the restaurant, which serves Greek and Mediterranean food, for over 20 years with his two sons. The brothers apparently don’t get along, which is reportedly the cause of many of the restaurant’s problems. Although, we imagine the fact that the menu was previously all over the map was also a factor. Postings on Pappas’ Facebook page from last fall boast salsa, pesto, and pasta “made fresh daily.” This sentiment was echoed by patrons interviewed in Benecia Patch.

Hopefully the show enabled the brothers to mend their ways. One of the brothers, Andreas Anastasios, said that the changes to the restaurant were “positive” and that the family is as close as ever.

The episode airs on May 9 at 10 p.m. on the Food Network.
