Cookbook-cover controversy has not been the only thing on April Bloomfield’s plate this week. Eater gets a copy of a notice the toque and her business partner, Ken Friedman, posted in a building lobby near 264 Bleecker Street (near Leroy), where they’re planning to open a café. The place will be an all-day tavern concept, with a menu similar to the Spotted Pig and the Breslin’s, they write. Expect pastries and muffins for breakfast, and soups and sandwiches for lunch. There’ll be a fifteen-seat bar in addition to 45 table seats. Of course, all this is pending a CB2 green light — Bloomfield and Friedman are scheduled to appear before the board to seek liquor license approval next week. [Eater NY]
