Last year, we thought it'd be fun to ask the Sports Illustrated swimsuit models where they go when they want to pig out. (Because, well, why not?) This year, we've got dessert on the brain, so Grub Street once again dutifully braved the issue release party at Crimson to ask the ladies what they go for when they need a sugar fix. Check out the results, straight ahead.
"I can never say no to white chocolate. I don’t really like regular chocolate, but white chocolate, even if I don’t want it, I’ll have it. I can’t say no."
"I love sweets. Chocolates, cookies, I eat everything, cakes. Whatever I see I try it."
"White-chocolate-covered raisins. And also, white-chocolate-covered strawberries. You can’t go wrong with that."
"I am such a sweets person. I love anything sweet. I love cookies; cookies are my favorite. Anything chocolate – basically anything. You give me anything sweet and I will eat it, in immensely large portions. I’m obsessed with chocolate chip cookies. It's like a comfort food for me. I love it."
"My favorite of all time — are you ready? — is a chocolate brownie with ice cream. I’m a big chocolate girl; I love my chocolate, so a brownie with ice cream. Vanilla, or even vanilla bean. And my other favorite dessert is homemade chocolate-chip cookies."
"You know what I haven’t had in a while? A candy apple. I ate chocolate-covered strawberries last night, but a candy apple. I’ll have to go get one."
"I’m definitely a chocolate lover: cake, chocolate cake, like a chocolate soufflé cake, I cannot resist. That’s probably my major weakness. You know, if you have hot, gooey chocolate, I can’t help but shove it in my face."
"I love dark chocolate with sea salt. It’s delicious, you have you try it. It’s to die for. Literally. Die for it."
"I love banana pudding from Magnolia. Love it."
"My favorite thing is Ladurée macarons in Paris. Vanilla — keep it simple. I have not tried the one in New York. I’m sure it’s very good."
"You know what is so creepy is that I am not a sweets person at all. I’m a savory person. So if it is sweet, I want that salty caramel, or, like, pumpkin-pie ice cream or something with some kind of salt hint in it."
"Oh, I love the green-tea bento box at Nobu. It’s got green-tea ice cream and the warm chocolate cake. It’s unbelievable. Yummm. I think it’s called the green-tea chocolate-cake bento box or something. I don’t know. It’s a dessert bento box with warm chocolate cake and green tea ice cream. It’s so good!"
"I love warm chocolate cake with ice cream. That’s one of my favorite desserts, simple and delicious."
"I try to eat healthy all the time but maybe once a week have whatever I need to have. It depends on my mood; it could be a cupcake, it could be fries. It doesn't matter."
