Attention, fans of astronaut ice cream: Cornell and the University of Hawaii are looking for people to take part in a “120 day Mars exploration analogue mission … designed to simulate the living and working experience of astronauts on a real planetary mission and to compare two types of food system — crew-cooked vs. pre-prepared — as thoroughly as possible in the context of a four month Mars analogue mission.” Sure, you’d be eating a lot of freeze-dried food from packages, but you’d be doing it while pretending to live on Mars. Also, the study takes place in Hawaii. Sign up here! The deadline to sign up is 11:59 p.m. tonight. [University of Hawaii via Forbes]
