As if the changing of the guard at Le Bec-Fin wasn’t enough to make your head spin on a Monday morning, here comes word from the opposite end of the dining spectrum that Geno’s may also undergo a change in ownership. According to Dan Gross, the the Cheez Whiz capital of South Philly, which last year bid farewell to its controversial founder Joey Vento, could soon be in the hands of new operator. Word is, Vento’s son Geno (yes, he named his son after the steak shop) is interested in, or is actively engaged in unloading the landmark. [Dan Gross]
UPDATE: Gross is now tweeting that there’s no truth the Geno’s rumors.
