At Last, A Reason to Go to Rozzie

Suya Joint is now open for business, per Universal Hub. What’s Suya Joint, you ask? Well, it’s one of the very few (if only, though correct us if we’re wrong) Nigerian restaurants in town. It’s at 25 Poplar Street in Roslindale, which is almost as far away as Africa, unless you actually live there, but hey, that’s OK.

We’ll make the brave trek, but we’ll bring our own booze, as there’s no liquor license yet. Universal Hubsters rave about the eponymous chicken suya (thin chicken strips on sticks, dusted with spices), rice and chicken stew and akara (small fritters made of black-eyed peas). Plus, the price is nice: $23 for all that, for two people. A princely feast! Let us know if you’ve been. [UH]
