Planet Dailies, Planet Hollywood’s attempt to go from something you chortle at to something you actually eat in, has pushed back its opening date at The Original Farmers Market to March 12th. Adrian Tenorio, an executive chef from the company’s Vegas resort and casino, is on the brunch, lunch, and dinner menus here, spills a few beans (Rancho Gordo perhaps?) that his market produce-propelled global menu will include everything from tamales to whole-roasted BBQ Chinese duck, blackened New York strip steaks with bleu cheese, fish tacos, ham and fig pizza with heirloom tomatoes and mornay sauce, and crab and lobster cakes.
The menu will shout out all the farms and ranches featured, while banner-name-in-bartending, Mr. Joseph Brooke, will bring his booziest to the table, executing drinks like “The Spicy 50,” “Hollywood Bubbles,” and what sounds like the most promising addition to an early-morning diet since that Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups cereal, “Breakfast Martinis,” designed with this suave international drinks dude, Salvatore Calabrese. Cocktails are planned at a sub-station of the restaurant, featuring its own patio, called “Mixology 101.”
