A low-key, “quiet” gastropub is potentially on its way to a former hair salon at 15th and Mission, and it will be called Mission Public SF (1910 Mission Street). Owner Anthony Shuton tells Mission Local that “it will be unpretentious, welcoming to everyone, not just hipsters.” That’s good to know! The only details so far are that there would be a focus on California beers and a small-plates menu. Shuton wants to open by spring, but he still has a Planning Commission hurdle to face this week, so stay tuned. [Mission Local]
