Remember how we told you that supper clubs seemed to be getting savvier? Well, now they may have reached the realm of outright culinary legitimacy, thanks to newcomer Haven’s Kitchen. The shop and cooking school is launching a monthly supper club, and it’s wrangled toques from some of the best-respected restaurants in town to cook for a night. First up are a couple of chefs, Eric Milley and James McDuffee, from Gabe Stulman’s Jeffrey’s Grocery and Joseph Leonard, respectively. “A Night With Little Wisco” is set for March 27, at 7 p.m., and tickets are $185 (more info here) and include “cocktails and a collaborative sit-down dinner.” Coming up in subsequent months, Haven’s will host the likes of Gramercy Tavern’s Michael Anthony and Gabrielle Hamilton of Prune, as well as toques from Lincoln and Betto. Not underground, but pretty awesome.
