Two different recent talks by two prominent chefs popped up in today’s hopper so we’re going to send you to both of them to compare and contrast. First up, WBEZ’s Robin Amer describes highlights of the talk Stephanie Izard gave at the Museum of Contemporary Art last month, which you can listen to at the same page. She talks about playing restaurant as a kid… and how those ideals ran into the reality of working at a hostess at Olive Garden a few years later, including making salad by the numbers (“five croutons for every two people”).
