The wine glitterati have arrived in town for this week’s celebration of Burgundy, La Paulée. Although the festivities don’t start until Wednesday, chefs, winemakers, and sommeliers are already preparing for the expensive 4-day long party. Taking place at various locations throughout the city and Napa, La Paulée is an annual wine festival that’s held in New York one year and San Francisco the next. There are several tastings, dinners, and seminars to choose from and for just $4,000 you can attend the Legends Dinner that features Burgundy’s superstar wine makers and food by Meadowood’s Chris Kostow.

The seminars are more affordable, for $95 you can learn how to navigate Burgundy from three top sommeliers, including RN74’s Rajat Parr. Of course, if you’re really into the world of wine, you could hit up some of the city’s best restaurants (think Wayfare Tavern and RN74) over the next few days. The chefs, somms, and wine makers are sure to be out in full force: Just last night, Tyler Florence was making a drinking date with Daniel Boulud on Twitter. He said, “let’s drink…” We’re in!
