Acapulco Reopening in Alameda; Hooters Comes to North Bay; and More

Embarcadero: There’s now a food truck pod happening Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Levi’s Plaza (1155 Battery) which may or may not be temporary. It includes Casey’s Pizza, Kara’s Cupcakes, Kasa Indian’s Kati Roller, Southern Sandwich Co. and Toasty Melts. [SFoodie]
Alameda: We reported back in August about the shuttering of 58-year-old Mexican restaurant Acapulco, and now a Chowhounder reports that the owner of Paradise Grill and Best Burger in San Leandro has bought it and hopes to reopen it by March. [Chowhound]
Berkeley: Alchemy Collective (3140 MLK), a new and tiny café, has just opened. [Tablehopper]
Rohnert Park: Hooters may have shuttered their Fisherman’s Wharf location, but they haven’t given up on the Bay Area. They just opened a new Hooters at 6099 Redwood Drive in Rohnert Park. [BiteClub]
