On February 8th at 7:30 P.M., West L.A.’s Landmark Theater will screen a new film called Jiro Dreams of Sushi, looking at the legacy and future of Jiro Ono, Tokyo’s Sukiyabashi Jiro chef who was the first sushi master to receive three Michelin stars. Hardcore sushi porn here, folks, featuring Tsukiji’s writhing buckets and rapid-fire auctions and the restaurant’s gleaming cuts of raw, as you can see in the trailer we have for you below. But that’s not all we have for our readers. We’re also giving away 50 tickets to the screening, which gets you into the film more than a month before its March 16th opening in L.A. So, how do you win?
This one is simple. Immediately after this particular post is published (the one you’re reading now) we’ll link to it on Grub Street L.A.’s Facebook page. The first 25 Facebook friends of Grub Street to leave a comment under the post will win two tickets each.
What should the comment say? Anything that floats your boat, really, as we’re going straight by numbers here, just make sure you’re our friends (we’re very lonely over here). Tickets will be ascribed to whatever name your own Facebook profile is under, reserving you a spot for the big show on February 8th. Once we hit 25 comments, the contest closes.
See our official contest rules right here and good luck to all!
