Since pretty much nothing is sexier these days than mucking around in soil, we present Food 52’s new urban-farming column, City Dirt. Amy Pennington (who’s also the author of the book Apartment Gardening) promises she’ll offer projects for the home gardener every couple of weeks — things like starting seeds and container growing. If that gets your heart pounding (we’re looking at you, grow-your-own-tomatoes, DIY-pickling types), check out the inaugural edition. [Food 52]
