Ultrahip the Liberty to Launch In, Yes, Herald Square

The Liberty is a bar-restaurant set to open this spring that plans to glamorize nightlife in lower midtown Manhattan; or, as the owners Aussie Eddy Buckingham and Glen and Owen Treader call it, “the neighborhood that cool forgot.” The 4,000-square-foot property on West 35th Street has eighteen-foot ceilings and a design inspired by the lobby of the Rockefeller Center and the now defunct Cloud Club at the Chrysler Building. Jason “Bad Boy” Bunin, as the guys call him, is the executive chef, with a tricked-out menu of high-quality burgers, salads, nachos, pizza, and such. G’luck, mates.
