A group of boldface and literary onetime Elaine’s regulars had been planning to start the Elaine Kaufman Foundation for Emerging Writers, but they’ve been blocked by the restaurant’s heir, Diane Becker. Becker told “Page Six” that the idea is nice, but the group “did this around me,” and she’s concerned about retaining control over the brand.
