Laurie Jon Moran has assumed Michael Laiskonis’s old job as pastry chef at Le Bernardin. According to Diner’s Journal, Moran is 30; from England; and worked at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons near Oxford, then Daniel in New York, and most recently was pastry sous-chef at Per Se. Sounds very promising. Meanwhile, Laiskonis is having secret cream-puff parties and writing poetry about it. [Diner’s Journal/NYT]
