In Riva, Southern Italian-inspired restaurant that Starr and Garces alum Arthur Cavaliere opened this past December on the banks of the Schuylkill River in East Falls, will debut brunch service tomorrow. This weekend and ever weekend after, the riverside spot will serve its full pizza lineup, including a breakfast pie loaded down with pancetta, eggs, potatoes and onions, plus Italian dishes like tostato Francese, cinnamon battered French toast, Nutella and caramelized bananas); Bacala, salt cod, fried eggs and tapenade; and Frittata Romana, roasted tomato, spinach, and goat cheese. And for your daytime drinking needs, Cavaliere and company will offer a variety of eye-openers, like San Marzano Bloody Marys and Lambrusco Bellinis. Brunch is offered Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
