One choice for the best deal on a deluxe feast in town would undoubtedly be Sun Wah Bar-B-Q, the veteran Hong Kong barbecued duck joint on Argyle street which the second generation spiffed up into a much larger and snazzier spot around the corner on Broadway— while still keeping prices in the crazy low range, as in their five-course Peking Duck dinner, which goes for $28 per person. As it happens, that same amount, tax included, will get you one of the fast-disappearing spots for Sun Wah’s Chinese New Year Feast on Monday, January 23rd. There’s one seating starting at 6:45 and you can get a reservation (prepayment required) by calling 773-769-1254— but co-owner Kelly Cheng asks for patience this year because her baby is due the very next day.
