If you’re still one of many who’ve yet to taste Federal Donuts’ elusive fried chicken, you’ll soon have more opportunity to do so. Beginning January 14 and 15, Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook’s cult donuts and chicken joint will start firing up the fryers for chicken twice on weekends. Once at 11:45 a.m. and then again at 5 p.m. Just as before, the Federal Donuts crew will keep their crispy cluckers coming — glazed, tossed with chile-garlic or honey-ginger, or crispy and dusted with Za’atar and Harissa seasoning — until they run out.
