The ever-popular and ever-packed DNA Lounge, down in the clubland of 11th Street (and next door to Bar Agricole) is looking to expand into the building next door which currently houses the attached DNA Pizza (371 11th Street). They go before Planning tomorrow to discuss the matter (which is recommended for approval), and if all goes well they will be busting out some walls and increasing the overall square footage of the club by about 50 percent, from 8,000 square feet to 12,000 square feet, with a new easier passageway for drinkers to get pizza without going outside, and (possibly) a new second-floor dance annex.

Their stated goal for the expansion is to decrease the amount of foot traffic and crowding on the sidewalk and improve the flow of people between the club and the pizza place.

We’ll update you as we learn more.
