Cliff’s Edge Serves a Bitter Pill to Swallow

Last May, Dana Hollister rejiggered Cliff’s Edge into a sleeker, more spotted animal, sporting a new cocktail bar named Cliff’s. Since then, Richard Swan and Dan Thompson have built on the work begun here by former Seven Grand bartender Dave Whitton and just released the results of their labors in a brand new cocktail list. New drinks include a Glasgow Mule, which replaces vodka with scotch, a cucumber martini with orange blossom water, and The Bitter Pill, a combination of 12-year Zaya rum and Fernet Branca with orange oils added for aroma. Cliff’s is offering nightly specials and, refreshingly in the era of so many fifteen-dollar (or $100) drinks, all the cocktails except one dressed-up Vieux Carre are priced at nine and eleven dollars. See Cliff’s full new cocktail menu below.
