Evan Kleiman at Angeli Caffe

Apparently, the impending closure of Evan Kleiman’s Angeli Caffe has made business boom, as diners scramble for their own last meal here. In an email to followers, Kleiman is thanking everyone for “the outpouring of incredible love,” going on to say “it’s like being dipped in a pool of sweetness.” To accommodate the current demand without overbooking, Angeli has moved its final night to Friday the 13th, while keeping doors open for lunch, from Tuesday to Friday. Kleiman will be taking this Monday off, before giving her labor of love four more days until the shutter. [Related]
