All around arts-obsessive Angela Pallotta tells Grub Street she’s just opened Angela’s Coffee on Sunset in the former home of Jinky’s Cafe. Pallotta has decked the space out in classic, contemporary, and modern works of print by the likes of Shep Fairey, Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, and some up-and-comers named Andy Warhol and Marc Chagall. She is also pouring art straight into in your cup, offering Blue Bottle’s pour-over drip coffee for three dollars from 7:00 in the morning until 9:00 at night.

As for food, Pallotta offers a selection of cheeses sourced from NorCal producers like Cowgirl Creamery, along with pastries and donuts currently coming from SK’s, and possibly soon from Lady Jane, while the store plans to nail down its coffee service before taking on in-house edibles. Pallotta tells us the theme here hinges on the hippie half of the state, with a prominent “Northern California” vibe. The cafe’s three dollar Blue Bottle offer is sweetened slightly by the offering of free parking off the Sunset Strip.
