Forbes Calls Smashburger ‘America’s Most Promising Company’

It's a smashing success!

Sorry, Shake Shack: Forbes has declared fast-growing burger chain Smashburger the country's "most promising" company, which they award to "privately held up-and-comers with compelling business models, strong management teams, notable customers, strategic partners and precious investment capital." So why does Smashburger get the nod? "In the midst of a severe recession [the company] will have grown to 143 locations (half company-owned, half franchised) and $54 million in annual revenue by the end of 2011." Also worth noting: Almost 500 franchise agreements are "already on the books," which means that if you have not yet gotten a chance to try Smashburger, there will very likely be one opening on your street any day now.
