First Look at Brooklyn’s First Shake Shack, Opening Today
Photo: Jed Egan
It’s already hit Dubai, Miami, and other cities, but today for the first time, Shake Shack hops the East River to Brooklyn. On the menu are the usual Shack suspects plus some concretes customized for the new hood, including the Fudge-eddaboutit, with chocolate custard, a special blend of Mast Brothers chocolate, and cinnamon fudge sauce. There’s even one called the Borough Precedent (vanilla custard, Early Bird granola, and seasonal fruit), a shout-out to the irrepressible Marty Markowitz, who’ll be heading up the ribbon cutting along with Mayor Bloomberg at 11 a.m. today. See photos of the sustainably designed 80-seat space straight ahead and catch the menu below.
