JoeDough Starts Delivery; Wingstop Comes to Brooklyn

Boerum Hill: New Yorkers are getting their second Wingstop, at 289 Livingston Street (the first one is in Astoria). Believe it or not, this is the 500th store for the popular franchise, and to celebrate, they’ll be offering a $5 special on their five-wing combo (five regular or boneless wings, a regular drink, and a regular order of fresh-cut fries) on Monday, December 19. The restaurant will be open daily from 11 a.m. to midnight and offer delivery service within the area. [Grub Street]
Citywide: Indulge in a little midday holiday snack courtesy of the Treats Truck’s Kim Ima and McCormick Spices, who will be unveiling three new cookies (Nutty Oatmeal Ginger Sandwich, Sugar Cookie Thumbprints with Spiced Jam Centers, and Little Peppermint Crispy Rice Squares) this Thursday and Friday, December 8 and 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Follow @TheTreatsTruck on Twitter to pin them down throughout the day. [Grub Street]
East Village: Good news for lazy East Villagers: JoeDough is starting delivery tomorrow, December 6. They’ll be delivering sandwiches like the Conflicted Jew (challah, chicken liver, onions) and the JoseDoe Cubano (hero, Swiss, roast pork, shoulder bacon) from 14th Street to 3rd Street, and from Avenue A to Second Avenue. [Grub Street]

Midtown West: Parents, want to find more ways to ring in the holiday cheer with your children besides sitting on Santa’s lap? Head to Jumeirah Essex House this Saturday, December 10, or the following Saturday, December 17, for a children’s gingerbread-house-making class. For $65, executive pastry chef Deden Putra will instruct kids on how to build and decorate their own gingerbread houses (and admission even includes an Essex House apron and hat!). The class runs from 10 a.m. to noon. [Grub Street]
Nolita: Torrisi Italian Specialties was closed this Saturday night and rumor has it Treme was shooting there. Janette’s next gig? [Eater NY]
West Village: Coppelia is celebrating their new liquor license with Taco Tuesdays, a weekly special starting tomorrow, for which guests can enjoy any three tacos (Korean, fish, or taco of the day) and a Tecate for $15. [Grub Street]
